Night at the Movies 2018

TAU Trust hosted its 11th annual Night at the movies showcasing student films from TAU’s Steve Tisch School of Film and Television on Wednesday 6th June at the Ham Yard Hotel in London, where the event was supported by 170 guests and raised over £16,000.

All proceeds from the event went towards the pioneering and high quality work at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at TAU, which has a wonderful reputation worldwide for producing original and innovative films and students who often become leaders in the global film and television industry. The Movies

Film 1: Santé

Director: Sabrine Koury

Two dancers are in a relationship and their next show is due to take place in an Israeli settlement. What happens when they reach the army checkpoint?

Film 2: An Old Score

Director: Naor Meningher

In Tel Aviv of the 1950s,Tzvi is a police detective responsible for interrogating “Kapos” – Jews accused of assisting the Nazis during the Holocaust. Tzvi investigates the case of Yehiel Ingster, suspected of having been an extremely cruel and sadistic Kapo. But as Tzvi begins to interrogate him, doubts arise and nothing seems certain anymore.

Film 3: Barbie Blues

Director: Adi Kutner

When Mika, a suburban teenager, finds a disturbing creature in her swimming pool, she asks her neighbour Gershon for help. What starts off as a friendly encounter between two neighbours turns into an unexpected lesson on the borders of control.

Film 4: The Postman in Underwear

Director: Ben Ziv

Two brothers tell the story of an eccentric postman who falls in love for the first time in his life. In an attempt to help him express his love, they embark on a journey in which they will experience the difference between fantasy and real love.
