1. Definitions
In the context of these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:

  • “TAU Trust” means Tel Aviv University Trust, a charity registered under number 314179, having its registered office at Lady Ruth House, Gabriel Mews, Crewys Road, London NW2 2GD
  • “Copyright Policy” means the copyright policy of the TAU Trust in relation to the Website as amended from time to time;
  • “Privacy Policy” means the privacy policy of the TAU Trust in relation to the Website as amended from time to time;
  • “the Material” means all of the information, data, text, graphics, links or computer code published on, contained or available on the Website;
  • “User” means the individual, firm, partnership, company or organisation accessing this website or making an Order;
  • “the Website” means any website under the ownership or control of TAU Trust from which a link has been created to these terms and conditions;

The Schedules to these Terms and Conditions shall form part of and be construed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Applicable Terms and Conditions
The Website is owned by TAU Trust and any use made of the Website (including registrations and donations made via the Website), are subject to these Terms and Conditions. TAU Trust reserves the rights to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online. The User’s continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes the User’s acceptance of this Agreement as modified.

3. Copyright
Our Copyright Policy can be read in Schedule 1 to these Terms and Conditions.

4. Use of the Website
The User agrees to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner which does not infringe the rights, or restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Website by any third party.

The User’s use of the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, the use of the Website must be terminated immediately.

5. Warranty and Indemnity
The Website and the information, names, images, pictures, logos regarding or relating to TAU Trust are provided without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied. In no event will TAU Trust be liable for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever arising from the use or in connection with such use or loss of use of the Website, whether in contract or in negligence or otherwise.

The User warrants to TAU Trust that it will not use the Website, the Material or any part of either for any purpose that is in contravention of any applicable law or regulation or in a manner that will infringe the copyright, trademarks, service marks or other intellectual property rights of third parties or violate the privacy, publicity or other personal rights of others or in any defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful manner. The User shall indemnify TAU Trust, its employees and agents, harmless against all claims, liability, losses, damages, expenses and proceedings including, without limitation, legal fees and costs arising out of or incurred as a result of any claims made, or litigation brought, against TAU Trust, its employees and agents, as a result of the use by the User of the Website, the Material or any part of either for whatever purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Limitation of Liability
Save as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions TAU Trust hereby disclaims all warranties and conditions with regard to the Website, Material and any goods or services supplied in relation to the Website, whether express or implied or statutory (including all implied warranties, representations and conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). In no event shall TAU Trust be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damages whatsoever even if TAU Trust has been advised of the possibility of damages including, without limitation, damages for loss of use, data or profits arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the Website, interruptions or delays to the Website, the provision of or failure to provide services, or for any information, Material, goods and/or services obtained through the Website or otherwise arising out of the use of the Website and for the material, whether based on contract, tort or otherwise to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Third Party Websites
TAU Trust takes no responsibility for the content of external Internet sites. Other websites that we link to are owned and operated by third parties and TAU Trust has no control over them. We accept no liability for any statements, information, material, products or services that are published on or are accessible through any websites owned or operated by third parties.

8. Viruses
Whilst TAU Trust makes all reasonable attempts to exclude viruses from the website it cannot ensure such exclusion and no liability is accepted for damage caused through the downloading of viruses. Therefore, the User is recommended to take all appropriate safeguards before downloading information from the Website.

9. On-Line Transactions
TAU Trust reserves the right to vary event ticket prices fees and the prices of any goods or services listed without notice. All event registrations and orders for goods or services are subject to availability and TAU Trust reserves the right to refuse to accept any registration and to refuse to supply any goods or services to any individual.

10. Encryption
Although the Website uses encryption security software in areas where on-line payment details are accepted, the security of information and payments transmitted via the Internet cannot be guaranteed. Any loss incurred or sustained by any User who transmits information by means of e-mail or other Internet links shall be borne solely and exclusively by such User and in no event shall any such loss in whole or part be borne by TAU Trust or its agents.

11. Force majeure
TAU Trust shall not be held to be in breach of its obligations hereunder nor liable to the User for any loss or damage which may be suffered by another party due to any cause beyond its reasonable control including without limitation any act of God, fire, storm, flood, lightening, disease, strike, trade dispute, act of terrorism, any act or omission of government or regulatory bodies or communications operators.

12. General
12.1 If any provisions of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
12.2 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between TAU Trsut and the User and supersede all other (prior or contemporaneous) communications and proposals, whether electronic or written, between the User and TAU Trust.
12.3 Any failure of TAU Trust to exercise or enforce any of its rights under these terms and conditions shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such rights or operate so as to bar the subsequent exercise or enforcement or any such rights.
12.4. Any communication or material that the User transmits to, or posts on, any public area of the Website including any data, questions, comments, suggestions, or the like, is, and will be treated as, non-confidential and non-proprietary information.

13. Jurisdiction
The terms and conditions and the use by the User of the Website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Website and/or any transactions made on the Website, or these terms and conditions, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

14. Refunds
Refunds for online purchases are at the discretion of the charity.

15. Disclaimer
TAU Trust strives to ensure that the information provided on the Website is accurate at the time of publication, timely, unbiased and useful.

However the information contained on the Website is intended to provide general information only and, as such, should not be considered medical guidance or professional or other advice.
