Featured Films
This year we screened the remarkable short film
Butcher’s Stain
directed by Meyer Levinson-Blount
winner of the silver medal at the Student Academy Awards (run by the Oscars)!
The film tells the story of Samir, a Palestinian butcher working at an Israeli supermarket, who is accused of tearing down the Israeli hostage posters in the break room. Samir sets out to prove his innocence in order to keep the job he desperately needs.
The second film we screened will be
House Arrest
directed by Omer Koren
A young immigrant nanny finds her dream home with a wealthy family she works for. But when the father undergoes house arrest, her role changes and she must watch him instead.
It premiered earlier this year at the Tel-Aviv International Student Film Festival.
The third film was the female-driven, deranged action comedy
Dear Mr. Tarantino
directed by Tamar Schwarz
Gaia has always dreamed of being a famous actor, so when she discovers that famous director Quentin Tarantino is coming to the restaurant, she decides to do everything she can to meet him and try her luck at getting a bit of stardust, and that is where everything starts to go wild.
