Yaron Waxman
TAU alumnus Yaron Waxman will talk about ‘HaGal Sheli‘ (My Wave) and how they harness twaves to the ocean treat trauma.
Yaron, a passionate ocean enthusiast and dedicated surfer, seamlessly merged his love for surfing with his fervor for education. With over 15 years of experience asa certified surfing instructor and lifeguard, he holds a master’s degree from Tel Aviv University’s Department of Policy and Administration in Education and an official teaching certificate. Additionally, he honed his skills by graduating with distinction from the Center for Empathy in Education and Society at Kibbutzim College Tel Aviv.

Elizabeth Chamsum Anukwu
He will be joined by Elizabeth Chamsum Anukwu, a participant in HaGal Sheli’s Nova Survivors Group. Twenty-two years old, from Tel Aviv-Yafo, Elizabeth is a freelance model and a software engineering student, she served in the IDF Air Force as an electronics technician. On October 7th, 2023, she survived the horrific massacre at the Nova music festival where she experienced severe trauma, and since the incident, with the tools she gains at HaGal Sheli, she fights daily for the healing and recovery of her life. |
