The evolution of the smile

Women’s Circle, Wednesday 11th June with one of TAU’s super stars Professor Rachel Sarig. Rachel, a pioneering Israeli Dental Anthropologist shared her inspiring and thought-provoking story, and left the guests with a broader understanding of dentistry in Israel; dental anthropology and how our jaws have evolved over time; the role TAU’s dental school has played during the ongoing war and treating people with trauma and so much more.

A Tale of Strength and Love: A Talk with Shaylee Atari

We are grateful to Shaylee for sharing her personal story and to journalist Brigit Grant for conducting such a thoughtful and meaningful interview. Hearing more about Shaylee’s harrowing experience of her husband’s murder at the hands of Hamas terrorists and the impact on her daughter, Shia, was especially poignant. So, too, was learning about her therapeutic journey and the resilience of the K’far Aza community, including the 17 additional widows who are part of the same support network as Shaylee and who live in the same refuge building…still with no locks on their doors. Despite all the trauma, Shaylee has many ongoing film projects aimed at preserving the community’s stories and values.
