The Tel Aviv University Trust, based in London, leads fundraising activities for Tel Aviv University. The Trust invites TAU Professors to share their research and knowledge with British audiences to strengthen the University’s reputation in the UK, and encourages academic collaborations with TAU and UK Universities.
The TAU Trust hosts some 25 events per year, ranging in scale from small breakfasts to large scale fundraisers. TAU Trust uses these events as a vehicle to raise awareness of Israel’s largest University as well as raising funding to support it.

Ambassador Mark Regev and Mrs Vered Regev welcomed TAU's new President Ariel Porat to London at a special Reception at their residence on Thursday night.
More than seventy friends and supporters of Tel Aviv University in the UK gathered to hear about President Porat's vision for TAU - globalisation and strengthening the international aspect of the University; promoting interdisciplinary research and teaching amongst faculties, and finally forging better access between campus and industry..
Europe’s biggest Jewish Film Festival enjoyed a screening of Oscar nominated Director and Tel Aviv University Film School alumni’s powerful new film “Chained” on the sobering themes of sexual harassment and domestic violence.
TAU Trust sponsored this collaborative event at the UK Jewish Film Festival. BBC broadcaster Nicola Christie hosted a Q&A with Director Yaron Shani who explained about his hyper-reality method working with non-professional actors his vision for the film using improvisation.
On Tuesday 9th July, 2019, TAU Trust, in collaboration with AKIM Israel and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, held the first sold out “Jazz in July” event featuring young accomplished jazz musician, Robert Ukrainsky with special guest, the renowned UK saxophonist, Alex Woods.
Vocalist Grace Woods along with pianist Andy Bunting, Bass player Tom Bunting and drums player Jonathan Silk joined saxophonist’s Robert and Alex for an array of easy listening and well-known jazz tunes. Guests had the unique opportunity to hear the overwhelming talent from these musicians, whilst enjoying specially created cocktails and sumptuous canapés.
On Thursday 6th June 2019, TAU Trust held their 12th annual “Night at the Movies” with “Shorts, Shots & Sushi” as part of their “Starry TAU Night Series”.
Before enjoying an array of vodka shots and sushi, our supporters and friends were welcomed at JW3 in North London by Barak Ganor, Head of Culture at the Embassy of Israel, who shared his experience as a TAU Alumnus.
The epicentre of the evening featured four mesmerising and thought-provoking “short” films created by students from the prestigious Steve Tisch School of Film & Television. This year’s films covered a range of themes which dealt with some of today’s worldwide issues, specific Israeli matters, life events and even football with a mix of emotions which ranged from the serious to the more humorous and everything in between!
On Tuesday 2nd April, 2019, TAU Trust hosted an “Evening with Avi Issacharoff”, the co-creator of FAUDA and a celebrated TAU alumnus. Avi shared how his education at TAU and his fascinating career to date led him to co-creating a global phenomenon that is FAUDA. We were delighted to welcome Sharon Bar-Li, Deputy Ambassador of Israel to the UK who shared her experience as a TAU alumnus, TV Presenter & Broadcaster Samantha Simmonds as well as many TAU Governors, trustees and special guests.
Our supporters were treated to a FAUDA-themed “Gin Cocktail” sponsored by Artisan Drinks Company, which added a certain “pizzazz” to the evening.
We were delighted you were able to join us at our University for a Night. We hope you enjoyed the special evening, hosted by Rothschild & Co, which featured some of TAU’s leading faculty including Dr Goren Gordon, Professor Zahava Solomon and Professor Asher Susser and was facilitated by Professor Eli Talmor, Governor of TAU. Each one had a unique story to tell and we hope that in the short time you were exposed to their research, you were able to take something away with you.
